In Portfolio & Segment Marketing, we work with product and segment teams to set the positioning strategy for all SES offerings with a focus on building compelling value propositions specific to each of our target market segments. This group also creates the messaging, content and marketing collateral to articulate those value propositions and their application in our customers’ business..

Extended Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities/Key Result Areas:


  • Partners with the SES sales/partner teams, Portfolio and Segment Marketing leaders, Segment Market Managers (SMMs), and Product Line Managers (PLM) to develop portfolio-level marketing content; drives projects to completion and ensures execution is on message
  • Develops thought leadership messaging and content as it pertains to cloud and edge technologies and services, and serves as the central advisor on the development and execution of thought leadership campaigns
  • Works directly with cloud service provider partners on co-marketing initiatives, including written collateral, video and animation assets, event speakerships, and internal sales training initiatives
  • Ensures that the SES and partner sales organizations are informed of relevant product and technology developments, understands their value propositions, and has the presentations and collateral required to communicate these benefits to customers and prospects
  • Serves as the Marketing and Communications lead on the SES Cloud Centre of Excellence team, updating cross-functional business leaders on status and effectiveness of marketing plans
  • Provides essential messaging to colleagues across Marketing & Communications to execute internal and external communications initiatives, and regional and global campaigns, consistently and effectively
  • Keeps internal content repositories up-to-date and helps drive usage, working with Internal Communications and Portfolio & Segment Marketing teams to generate regular communications to employees
  • Supports the broader segment marketing content development process by ensuring cloud-centric value propositions are communicated clearly and effectively
  • Responsible for evangelising our cloud message throughout the Marketing and Communications organization, helping colleagues in External Communications, Internal Communications, Growth Marketing, and Marketing Operations deliver a consistent, cohesive message through all SES marketing channels.     


Who We Are Looking For (More About You):


In order to achieve the outcomes described above, we believe you will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following:


Preferred Education & Experience (a combination of education and experience will be considered):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Engineering or similar
  • 6 years of experience in marketing, ideally in an international company
  • Profound understanding of core content marketing concepts and strategy
  • Extensive knowledge of the satellite and communications networking industries
  • Excellent working proficiency in MS Office product suite
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus (especially French, Spanish or Portuguese)
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
