(Senior) Manager, Sales, Global Accounts North America

As part of SES Networks, the Sales Manager is responsible to lead the development and advocacy for products, solutions and investments that will accelerate growth in the Global Telecom segment which includes Telecoms Providers and Mobile Network Operators and their clients, which will involve cross-selling with the other commercial segments including Fixed Data, Mobility, Government and Cloud. In this position, you will integrate differentiated customer approaches into commercial go-to-market resources at a services level for the generation of profitable long-term top-line revenues and for the increase of SES’s market share.


You will be responsible for (this is not an exhaustive list):

Sales strategy

  • In adherence to the overall SES Networks strategy, leads the development and execution of the strategic sales plan and vision to achieve its objectives and to promote revenue, profitability and growth; via customer sales for Telcos, MNOs, Fiber Providers, Service Providers and/or other companies
  • Work together with Market Intelligence on analyzing the market, trends, customer segmentation and competitor activity, to determine target customer and sales planning per locations, segments and service lines. Provide market intelligence feedback. Support business planning and general planning & execution processes
  • Define strategic sales initiatives for Global Telco segment as well as generate sales leads and close contracts in accordance with set revenue objectives
  • Develop sales pipeline forecasting to give a view on demand by existing products and services and new ideas for improvement and innovation to influence investment decisions


Customer sales

  • Generate/create commercial leads, elaborate client proposals, negotiate offers, execute sales and manage relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Develop and manage Partner Agreements and/or Master Frame/Service Agreements with Global Telco providers and their clients


Account management

  • Stay close and ‘top of mind’ of customers to continuously demonstrate value of the end-to-end integration of SES’ connectivity services business
  • Constantly optimise value proposition offered to customers for and beyond pure connectivity to fully managed services




1. Must Have 


  • University education within Engineering, Information Technology, Business or other relevant area
  • 7-10 years experience in a similar position
  • Experience in selling at CxO level, along with Cloud Providers, Mobile Network Operators, Telecommunication and Cloud Providers and/or Global Enterprises
  • Knowledge of Networking, Telecoms, Media or other communications sectors
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
  • Ability to travel approximately 50-60% of the time domestically and internationally


2.  Nice to Have

  • Additional MBA is considered an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of technical, financial and operational aspects of the business
  • Demonstrated leadership experience; previous Channel/Partner Management experience is considered an advantage
