Project Manager, Sports & Events

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

 

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for planning, coordinating and booking resources (satellite, fiber, IP etc.) and teams required for major live events coverage. This role serves as a point of contact for internal and external clients and ensure project success and client satisfaction. Extended Job Description:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

 

  • Book satellite, fiber and teleport resources globally
  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with clients
  • Generate gradual revenue by providing value added services or by extending current contract terms
  • Coordinate presentations of assets for customer distribution in support of sales with internal stakeholders
  • Adapt bookings and billings monthly, ensuring revenues are reported accurately by event, customer, resource and period
  • Support CRM, ScheduALL and booking tool administration with system administrator, follow up issues and provide enhancement recommendations
  • Assist in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies to continuously improve processes in place
  • In charge of the resolution of occurred client problems and complaints
  • Create and manage a client value plan to highlight client profile, currently purchased services, and potential future value
  • Support and enables sales in forecasting and pipeline management

 

COMPETENCIES

 

  • Very well organized with the ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Capable of coordinating work activities over multiple organizations
  • Able to comfortably manage high volume, deadline driven workloads
  • Sound decision-making skills based on client, and industry knowledge
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in working with different levels of the organization
  • Well-developed analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deal with multi-disciplinary stakeholders (customers, internal stakeholders, technical experts, finance)

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

 

  • Proven experience in project management
  • 2 years of experience in broadcasting industry in a similar role
  • Full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with relational databases, data analysis and report writing
  • Experience in working with ScheduALL
  • Ability to work 5 shifts per week and during weekends and holidays
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment requiring troubleshooting and processing skills
  • Understanding of broadcast operations and sports/entertainment technical requirements
