Extended Job Description:

 

Primary Responsibilities/Key Result Areas:

 

  • Lead the implementation of SES’ people strategy in the Netherlands and for your worldwide internal customer group (= SES Networks outside Americas)
  • Co-create new ways of working and solutions with the HC centres of expertise, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, HRIS and Employee Services
  • Provide direction and guidance to the Talent Acquisition Team who is responsible for the management of the sourcing approach and talent acquisition pipeline
  • Manage talent plans in line with global Talent Management strategy (annual performance review, development plan, career discussions, succession planning, identification of talent groups) whilst incorporating business requirements 
  • Engage with business leaders on succession planning, leadership development, creation of dedicated talent pools and current/future people priorities.
  • Accompany people managers and employees in the annual performance management process, including facilitation of goal setting and coaching on all performance management elements, facilitating calibration sessions.
  • Coach people managers to link performance and career development goals to learning and development solutions (e.g.  conducting career development conversations, quality talent review sessions, matching personal purpose with company goals).
  • Fully involved in staffing analysis, budgeting and resources planning.
  • Provide feedback to people managers in a constructive way and inspire them to role model the SES culture
  • Be the Employee Relations Country Lead for the NL and coordinate with the lead in the other countries to raise institutional employee relations matters, and receive advice as required, this includes managing and facilitating the regular exchange and formal meetings with the NL Works Council
  • Fosters and champions the employee engagement approach and actions within the dedicated customer group, including coordination of staff meetings / town hall meetings with Management and Internal Communications to foster dialogue and constructive exchange
  • Jointly determines and prioritises with line managers the appropriate actions and interventions to drive engagement
  • Be responsible for employee health in The Netherlands in close cooperation with a local service provider

             

 

Who We Are Looking For (More About You):

In order to achieve the outcomes described above, we believe you will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following:

 

Preferred Education & Experience (a combination of education and experience will be considered):

 

  • Relevant Bachelor degree combined with 10+ years’ of professional experience in Human Capital, with parts of it in an international environment and a track record of working in various jurisdictions
  • Experience in handling difficult conversations with a high level of diplomacy, confidentiality and discretion
  • Demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work in full autonomy while following international SES standards
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Proven networking ability, with a style that uses influence and coaching
  • Good facilitation and negotiation skills; ability to listen and influence others based on sound logic
  • Excellent self organization, focus on delivering results and following through on commitments
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage time efficiently
  • Fluency in English required, Fluency in Dutch added value
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office tools, databases and collaboration platforms
  • Eager to stay up-to-date on overall HC trends, developments and new theories; maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest developments
  • Abel to travel internationally approx. 15%
