Internship - Software Development, ARC Resources Allocator

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
6-month internship, starting as soon as possible.
As part of SES Adaptative Resources Controller resources program, you will be part of resources allocator module development. This is an exciting project to learn and develop skills in code development and satellite telecommunications with new generation of flexible satellites, from MEO orbit to future SES GEO assets.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As requested by ARC management team you will have to (but not limited to):

  • Support developers in implementing tickets;
  • Generate algorithm prototype code for demonstration and validation;
  • Implement code for unit tests;
  • Write specific section of ARC manual, test plan, test reports;
  • Works on automated Integration and deployment pipelines (CD/CI); 
  • Participate in stand-ups, sprint review, sprint planning.

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • Current master student in Information Technology, Telecommunication or Mathematics;
  • Strong appetite to code;
  • Development experience in Python (C++ considered as an asset);
  • Experience with Azure Devops and Git considered as an asset;
  • Strong interest in satellite telecommunications, knowledge of RF (modulation, link budgets, antennas fundamentals) considered as an asset;
  • Good communication skills, verbally and in writing;
  • Fluency in spoken and written English;
  • EU-citizens or work permit for The Netherlands.
