Internship - Learning UX/UI Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Global Services Learning team in a fast-paced, global organization within a dynamic industry.  We are looking for future Learning UX/UI developers to support our Learning Experience Platform.


Based in the Hague, the Netherlands, you will contribute to SES’ Technical and Operational Learner Experience.  The Learning UX/UI Engineer will act as a conduit, taking our Learning Organization’s aspirations for our Learning Experience Platform and turning them into something practical.  The primary focus is to interpret the visions for API and convert them into practical solutions. During your internship, you will be in charge of (non-exhaustive list):

  • Working with the team to map the learner experience, define the details of the interface, and correlate our learning systems’ features to learner tasks and needs
  • Creating documentation, style guides and specifications as requested
  • Applying user-centered design practices to create intuitive, delightful and compelling learning experiences
  • Designing GUI applications with a strong focus on visualization, interface, and usability


1. You must have

  • Currently pursuing a degree related to Graphic Design, Learning Experience Design, or User/Customer Experience;
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative and other UX prototyping, wireframing, and mapping tools;
  • Proficient with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
  • Flency in written and spoken English;
  • Able to work in the Netherlands (EU-citizenship or valid work permit for the Netherlands).


2. It would be nice if you had

  • Knowledge of MS Power BI and/or other data visualization software considered a big plus;
  • Strong interest in the global technology, media, and telecom business and satellite communications in particular; 
  • Strong computer literacy (MS PowerPoint, Excel, Access);
  • Experience designing responsive websites;
  • Additional language considered an asset.
