Internship - External Communications

Up to 6-month internship, starting as soon as possible.
Based in The Hague (Netherlands) or Betzdorf (Luxembourg), you will be part of the External Communications team and help build the reputation of SES worldwide while communicating the stories that we as a company do and the impact we jointly create through our customers. In this role you will be able to apply your communications skills and further your career. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a creative, dynamic, and enthusiastic team with room for your own initiatives. This will offer you a great learning experience with a full hands-on approach in a collaborative environment. 




  • Support writing and production of communications packages including blogs, presentations, reports, and online newsrooms for key topics such as launches, ESG and Regulatory;
  • Assist with preparation and execution of special events, such as VIP visits. This will include maintaining a visit calendar as well as any necessary communications packages;
  • Support media relations activities such as compiling and updating media contact lists, subscriptions and preparing press coverage and news analysis on key news and topics;
  • Support social media activities which includes sourcing content across internal departments and contributing with creative execution ideas;
  • Organise, maintain and update meeting notes and digital files of the team across platforms while contributing with content dissemination to internal stakeholders;
  • Ad hoc organisational tasks, such as shipments.


  • Being a current and advanced Bachelor/ Master’s student in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or in a relevant technical area;
  • Excellent general communication skills at all levels (verbal, written, and listening);
  • Fluency in English with strong writing skills; other language skills considered an asset;
  • Enjoy creating engaging content;
  • Self-starter, proactive working attitude, ability to work independently as well as in team;
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects for our internal customers;
  • Computer literate (MS suite, web tools, photo/video editing);
  • Energetic, positive and friendly attitude;
  • EU-nationality or work permit for The Netherlands or Luxembourg.
