Internship - Asset Management, Analytics Engineer

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
6-month internship, starting in Q1 2022
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Asset Management (AM) team in a fast-paced, challenging, and exciting project. 
Based in The Hague (Netherlands) or Washington DC (USA), you will work with Big Data to derive insights for Platform Optimization team within the AM Group. The Platform Optimization team within the AM Group develops forecasts of satellite communication ground platforms for the SES Managed Platform Service.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work together with the Network & Commercial Data Strategy, System Integration & Automation and Data Services teams to develop data-driven insights into platform utilization
  • Improve and update internal platform databases and dashboards
  • Provide other ad-hoc support for various internal stakeholders from corporate functions and Networks business unit

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • Current student in Computer Science, Data Science or in a relevant area
  • Strong interest in the global technology, media, and telecom business and satellite communications in particular
  • Strong data modeling skillset (SQL, Azure Databricks)
  • Knowledge of MS Power BI and experience working with Big Data considered a plus
  • Fluency in spoken and written English with additional languages considered an asset
  • Able to work in The Netherlands or in the USA
