(Senior) Specialist, Commercial Management

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

SES is looking for a Commercial Manager to support our sales community by assisting in the preparing and structuring of commercial deals as well as providing the pricing and profitability analysis and commercial recommendation for those deals. In this position you will also oversee the review process (Bid/No Bid, Pursue/No Pursue) in coordination with internal stakeholders and support your team colleagues with reporting creation, align on data strategy, and develop and maintain BI reports.

You will be responsible for (this is not an exhaustive list):

  • Business partner with commercial teams to provide pro-active, value-added financial support in the qualification of opportunities, reviewing the costs, benefits and risks and supporting the team with a winning sales strategy to enable deal and product profitability
  • Responsible for the deal profitability analysis for sales opportunities, including risk assessment, margin analysis, pricing analysis and market benchmarking
  • During the sales process, you own the commercial solution and deal P&L and ensure it’s aligned with the budget, business plan and forecast
  • Support the commercial sales team in negotiation with the customer
  • Plan, manage and implement further developments of commercial management reports using Microsoft Power BI, including enriched visualization layers, reporting processes and procedure
  • Support the implementation and delivery of the sales forecast

 

 

YOUR PROFILE:

 

Must Have

  • A University Degree, Finance, Economics or related discipline and ideally at least 3 years’ experience in bid management, product management, business analysis or pricing
  • 1-2 years working in Microsoft Power BI, with experience in data wrangling and data visualization, and creating reports and dashboards
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal)

  • Commercial negotiation skills, strategic awareness and business acumen
  • Good people & influencing skills including the ability to interface effectively with external and internal customers at all levels
  • Process skills required, in particular for the sales process and financial systems
