(Senior) Engineer, Software Tools & Integration

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARYThe (Senior) Specialist, Software Tools & Integration is a key member of the determined Asset Management and Contingency & Transition Planning (AM/CTP) team. In this position you will leverage existing solutions for identifying and optimizing gaps in design and collaborate on innovative, next generation solutions and delivery testing and documenting processes.

You will be responsible for (this is not an exhaustive list):

  • Act as SME and point of contact for operational software tools, designed and implemented by IT&S, within Asset Management and Contingency & Transition Planning (AM/CTP)
  • Gain thorough understanding of AM/CTP underlying business
  • Have understanding and ensure clarity inside AM/CTP on the IT delivery path and architecture, both in short and long term
  • Ensure strategic alignment on data models within Commercial & Network Data Strategy team, and compliance and compatibility with the data digital architecture and governance established by IT&S,  ensuring ease of data extraction and analytics
  • Work closely across AM/CTP team to collect and define business and technical Tool  requirements 
  • Responsible for defining the conceptual vision of the different AM/CTP internal operational software applications
  • Follow the various software projects related to AM/CTP running in parallel by IT&S, working closely with the different IT&S agile delivery teams



YOUR PROFILE:

 

1. Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field 
  • Proven 3 – 4 years of experience as Software Product Manager, Software Engineer or similar role
  • Technical understanding in terms of application programming, databases and systems design
  • Programming in at least one of the following languages: Python, C++, Java

 

2. Nice to Have

  • Experience in designing, developing and testing software for high-reliability applications
  • Domain knowledge/experience in Satellite Telecommunications
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills & aptitude
