(Junior) Customer Account Manager

Role Description Summary

In this position, the Customer Account Manager is the key point of coordination in the sales process for all sales related activities, i.e. from lead to order. This position functions as the gatekeeper for all information and workflows surrounding the customer relationship and contractual data. In this position you will represent SES in telephone, face-to-face meetings with the prospective customers and customers to engage. Furthermore, the position holder will be managing, creating and coordinating all sales related activities and information between sales regions and internal departments to ensure smooth and timely flow of the sales process to close deals and to win the customer. This also includes coordination of after-sales activities and customer service delivery.

Primary Responsibilities / Key Result Areas

  • Act as key coordinator in the sales process and proactively report on pending actions
  • Support the assigned Sales Segment/Region to fulfil their sales targets
  • Process management of all sales opportunities in respective CRM (ensuring minimum turnaround time whilst adhering to corporate governance)
  • Develop and maintain sales support documentations
  • Identify areas which require change, suggest appropriate improvements to processes, procedures and workflows
  • Ensure accurate responses to requests from stakeholders and managing expectations with regards to delivery time
  • Ensure customer satisfaction (internal and external stakeholders)

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, or demonstrable equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience is required, preferably with 2 or more years in a satellite or telecommunications sales environment
  • Regional and international experience - understand the business dynamics within the Data & Mobility market
  • Experience in customer facing positions
  • Computer literacy (in Microsoft Office tools) + (SAP) CRM tools
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); familiarity of other languages would be an advantage
