(Junior) Analyst, Revenue Reporting & Analysis

Reporting to Iset BAKKER

 

 

The incumbent’s key role and responsibility is to drive and improve all revenue reporting during the close and planning cycles, with the aim to provide relevant decision-making analysis.

 

Position requires this key individual to work autonomously, communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, and analyse and present information in a non-technical way, aligned to the execution of budgetary commitments and long-term growth plans and strategy for SES.

RIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Build strong working relationships with the key business stakeholders: Commercial Management, Business Performance Analysis, Sales and Asset Management; to support the decision-making and to ensure Sales Division under his responsibility achieve its revenue targets
  • Deliver financial results, outlook, business modelling and management presentations on a timely basis,
  • Lead and present these business results, so they are easily understood and used to drive key action, behaviour and get well plans in line with business objectives.
  • Support preparation of Budgets & Forecast in partnership with Commercial Management. Ensure inputs reflect expected outcome from Commercial Managers and comply with process and requirements
  • Work closely and support the Commercial Management, FP&A, Financial Operations and Asset Management teams, to provide key commentary, insights. Identify and analyse trends, and incorporate opportunities and risks into subsequent month end, outlook and planning cycles.
  • Contribute to the development of financial and analytical business processes, ensuring continuous automation and standardization to provide high quality analytics and guidance
  • Provide Commercial with financial data required for Yield models MEO & GEO and Asset trending.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong analytical and problem solving, business solution skills with proven ability to deal with large volumes of unstructured data from a variety of sources and construct a path to enable key business decisions which includes CRM, pipeline management and business intelligence tools, concepts & infrastructure
  • Understanding of the satellite, telecommunications industries;
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis teams as well as similar commercial roles, with strong affinity with data analysis tools; Excel and Business Intelligence tools, within a large business unit(s) of a Global operation
  • University degree in Finance or Business Applications or equivalent education.
  • Recent graduate or 1 – 3 years of professional experience

 

OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS

  • Willingness to be flexible to travel
  • Fluency in English (written and oral); other languages an advantage
