Your job would be to work on the only fully operational NGSO High Throughput Satellite Constellation (O3b) commissioning services and working through Engineering level support escalations; a truly dynamic and rewarding job…… no two days are the same! This is an opportunity for you to work with one of the leading and global-acting satellite service providers focusing on the IP Network Components of the SES product portfolio. Senior Engineers will coach you to acquire invaluable hands-on experience on a steep learning curve for you to soon become a member of the unique satellite connectivity community using your transferable skills.

Extended Job Description:



  • Commissioning of Customer’s end to end Satellite communications services, focusing on IP Network configurations, validation and acceptance testing with the customer
  • Working with engineering colleagues to take designs through to implemented and tested network services
  • Preparing and updating detailed network design drawings
  • Building monitoring tools using both industry standard and bespoke systems to enable effective alarming and historical data collection of our customer’s end to end systems
  • Level 3 operations engineering support of customer’s sites in-service, to include Network Operations Centre escalation’s and be part of an on-call rotation schedule
  • Work as part of a global team utilizing “follow the sun” support methodology
  • Collaborate with Engineering & Product Development teams in order to support the growth of the SES portfolio of products, act as the “voice of operations” to help ensure new products fit well into the operational environment



In order to achieve the outcomes described above, we believe you will have the following: 


  • Happy to work as part of a global collaborative team
  • An analytical mind with the ability to absorb data and ask challenging technical questions
  • Interest in Linux System Administration & Scripting
  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP and Routing Knowledge (BGP, OSPF, ISIS and MPLS)
  • Advanced knowledge of MPLS, Layer 2/3 VPNs, MPLS, CoS/QoS and IPsec
  • Understanding of network analysis, architectures and with SNMP, NTP, DNS, SSH, etc

Preferred Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelors Degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
  • Juniper and/or Cisco Certifications (example JNCIA / JNCIP / CCNA / CCNP)
  • SD-WAN appliance experience desirable, for example Versa Networks
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Network Operations / Implementation role deploying, documenting & troubleshooting customer end to end IP Services
  • Demonstrated understanding of BGP, OSPF and MPLS, Layer 2 / 3 VPNs and IPsec
  • Knowledge and deployment experience of Quality of Service within a network
  • Familiarity with the MX, SRX, EX Juniper product lines
  • Experience in dealing directly with customers and understand how to manage expectations
  • Experience in integrating communication systems with multiple vendor components and providing tested end to end managed services
  • Experience with Unix / Linux systems administration and creation shell scripts to automate tasks
  • Working knowledge of Satellite Systems a plus

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Fluent English language speaker
  • Ability to work in Singapore
  • Ability to participate in an on-call Rota to cover 24x7x365 support
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required for Training and Customer Site Visits up to 10% of time
