Sales Manager, Andean

Role Description Summary


You will be responsible for achieving or exceeding the company’s sales and revenue target for your region and contributing to the development and implementation of the go to market strategy in the region.  You will identify and qualify opportunities within our target markets and develop strong relationships with decision makers and influencers in these accounts. Its key that you will position our products and services within the customer organizations, and participate in contract negotiations, provide customer intel and recommend best course of actions based on in-depth knowledge of the account, the industry and the region.

Primary Responsibilities/Key Result Areas:


  • Contribute to the go to market regional strategy
  • Identify and qualify new opportunities with existing and new customers
  • Influence RFI’s, RFP’s and customer decision making process for our projects
  • Manage and grow relationship with key strategic accounts in Peru and Bolivia
  • Develop the regional market: map market size, identify and target market players
  • Represent the company at industry events and in workshops and customer presentations
  • Possess and develop a high-level network of executives within the targeted sector and have good knowledge of regional market, industry trends and competitors
  • Understand the value of ‘complex sales’ and be able to sell across a diverse customer base, and pull internal resources for support when required

Preferred Education & Experience (a combination of education and experience will be considered): Bachelor’s Engineering degree and 10+ years of experience selling solutions within the satellite or the Telecommunications industry, a Master’s degree is a plus


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience selling complex telecommunications solutions including services, capacity, and equipment to telecom carriers, MNOs, ISPs and government entities and poses a high-level contacts network within this community
  • Successful experience working in sales teams. Sales Engineering & Product Management experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated history of exceeding sales goals, closing skills, territory management, prospecting skills, negotiation, presentation skills and client relationships are all key requirements.
  • Skills to sell remotely (videoconferencing, telephone, etc), ability to travel frequently (50%+)
  • Excellent communication skills. Fluency in Spanish and strong written and verbal skills in English are essential
