Systems Engineer, Content Management

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

You are supporting our Content Management Operations and Customer Service teams in their day to day business (level 2 support) and dealing with design, implementation and configuration of customer workflows and requirements e.g. Ingest, Storage or VOD delivery of video material. 

Extended Job Description:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

• Optimize our highly automated video content processing workflows with state-of-the-art technology
• Integrate new content management requirements and manage the content delivery onboarding to VoD platforms
• System administration of the content management infrastructure
• Support of our Content Management Operations team in their day to day business
• Being the interface between Operations, Software Development and Engineering

COMPETENCIES

• Enthusiasm for every form of moving images and its global distribution in the eco-system of TV and VoD
• Advanced knowledge of audio, video and subtitle formats and their transcoding
• Software development basics are a plus (general understanding of C/C#/JS/XML)
• Good communication skills in order to be able to understand and explain complex interrelations in an intercultural environment
• High degree of responsibility, service mentality, flexibility, team spirit and customer orientation

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• University degree in electrical engineering and information technology, computer science, media technology or similar
• 2+ years of work experience
• Fluency in English, any other language considered as an asset
