Senior Specialist, Segment Market Management, Broadcaster

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

You will be responsible for executing and positioning the Video Broadcaster short-term strategy, working in strong collaboration with all the front functions like the Sales or Product team. You will put in place all needed activities across the organization to ensure the results of a clearer positioning of SES in the media industry in supporting sales for the final execution with customers.

The Main tasks are -but not limited to strategy execution, ensuring the correct implementation of transparent processes, supporting sales in achieving the budget scope. All tasks are in full alignment with the indicated strategy by the Segment Market Management (SMM) and the SES Video Strategy guidelines.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Build business models for service and solutions.
  •  Verify the profitability check for solutions and deals to be closed.
  •  Market screening related to market trends and competitive solutions.
  • Perform gap analyses between available and defined solutions on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensure correct execution of the short-term strategy related to the validated business plans.
  • Continuous screening and monitoring of existing competition and developments against the short-term goals with quarterly reports on a worldwide basis.
  • Transparency Process: drive transparency in improving internal processes in collaboration with other departments.
  • Coordinate any possible task/effort with the relevant department to accelerate results in markets in achieving the forecasted budget.
  • Develop and execute in alignment with SMM the entry G2M strategy per market (dedicated entry leveraging the SES portfolio and actions).
  • Act as key interface to specific commercial functions to provide a solution in Core Teams coordinating the workstream and G2M support.
  • Act as “Team Leader” in project coordination as referent contact for other departments.
  • Workshop/Training responsible for internal scopes.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • University degree (Master or similar) - Business preferable
  • Min. 7 years working experience in a relevant role as:
  • working directly with or within an existing or (potential) broadcaster customer organization
  • working in frontend positions with direct customer experience in media
  • Detailed knowledge of media environment and specific knowledge of Broadcaster market and target market.
  • High level of the personal network to relevant media actors’ in the media industry
  • Deep Level of understanding of markets (visioning, business planning, market positioning), business plan, and business model adopted in the industry
  • Very strong insider know-how of SES
  • Business fluent English (spoken and written) additional languages are a plus (French, Spanish, German)
