ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

As an intern in the Product Development Digital Experience team at SES, you'll play a vital role in enhancing user experiences for the digital products we develop. You'll collaborate closely with the team to understand user requirements and actively contribute to the creation of system features, wireframes and prototypes. Your responsibilities will also include conducting market and user research to identify emerging trends and opportunities. By collecting and analyzing customer feedback, you'll contribute to the continuous improvement of our products. Your innovative ideas will be welcomed as we work together to elevate the overall customer digital journey.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Collaborate with the Digital Experience, extended Product Development team and our internal customers to define and understand our ongoing initiatives, new features and individual user requirements.
  • Actively participate in creating product development user stories, wireframes, prototypes, and user interface designs for each of the features submitted.
  • Conduct market and user research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to continuously enhance the user experience
  • Work closely with designers, developers, and other team members to ensure consistency in user experience across all products
  • Assist in creating documentation, guides, training materials and development specifications
  • Engage in data entry activities, metrics analysis and reporting on individual KPIs to internal customers
  • Assist in Quality Assurance related activities, with focus on the on-time delivery of system releases
  • Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to enhance the digital experience

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Attending OR achieved degree in Business Administration, Design, Marketing, Computer Science, or related areas
  • Some prior contact with Agile Methodology is desirable
  • Intermediate knowledge on Microsoft Office 365 Tools
  • Basic knowledge of UX/UI principles and a willingness to learn and deepen expertise in this area
  • Exposure and deep interest in AI platforms used for rapid prototyping and assisted-development, such as Claude Code, ChatGPT CODEX, Lovable, Google Gemini, or similar is a plus
  • Knowledge of design tools such as Figma, Canva, Miro, or similar is a plus

  • First 15 Days:

 

  • Orientation and Integration: Get to know the Cx team, PD colleagues, and internal processes.
  • Initial Training: Familiarize with tools like SMP, FIGMA, MIRO, CANVA, and more.
  • Basic UX/UI Knowledge: Learn fundamental methodologies.
  • Contextual Research: Explore SMP products and project roadmaps.
  • Review Past Designs: Analyze prior UX/UI projects.
  • Assist with Minor Tasks: Support the team with smaller assignments.

 

  • First 30 Days:

 

  • Master Design Tools: Gain further proficiency in Canva, Figma, Miro, Azure DevOps.
  • Journey Projects: Work on a supervised customer journey project, focusing on UI updates.
  • Attend Team Meetings: Join discussions on ongoing projects and contribute ideas.
  • User Feedback: Learn to collect and analyze user input for product enhancements.
  • First 60 Days:

 

  • Mid-Term Project: Present outcomes of the journey project, showcasing new user flows.
  • User Testing: Participate in organizing and conducting user tests (Focus Groups).

 

  • First 90 Days:

 

  • Design Documentation: Collaborate on style guides and design specs.
  • Story Creation and Review: Finalize Stories and Epics.
  • Results Presentation: Share project results and improvements.
  • Innovative Ideas: Continue contributing innovative concepts.
  • Performance Evaluation: Discuss progress and set future goals in a performance evaluation with the supervisor.
