Junior Solution Engineer, Aero

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The Solution Engineers are the technical point of contact for a regional Global Sales team or specialized segment, providing guidance and planning in aspects of defining, developing and improving solutions for customer’s service requirements using the full suite of SES products and services, including GEO & MEO satellite assets, ground networks and third party where applicable. In this position you will be a key member of the Solutions Engineering Team, responsible for solution design and technical support which impacts the performance of SES.

You will be responsible for (this is not an exhaustive list):
•    Support optimized technical service solutions and prepare technical proposals in support of sales requests with a detailed understanding of the customer’s service requirements; 
•    Support engineering analysis guidance to determine how new and existing services can be optimized; 
•    Prepare, compile, and present customer presentations for service solutions, systems design and standard products utilizing necessary SES technical tools;
•    Develop and provide training to customers both internal and external for SES services and products;
•    Basic tool development for aero traffic analysis with support from SES stakeholders and central tool development team;
•    Track and understand new satellite access schemes, earth station antenna design, and wireless network technologies;

 


YOUR PROFILE:

Must Have

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering/Communications/Computer Science
  • 0-2 years of relevant Solution Engineering experience in Aero, Maritime, Energy, Fixed Data, Commercial Shipping, Government or Cloud markets
  • Knowledge of Python or other software languages
  • Knowledge of English is essential
  • Willing to travel internationally and meet directly with clients

 

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of satellite access technologies, earth station components, transmission analysis and optimization
  • Theoretical and practical experience with antenna design and optimization
