This is an essential position for SES Networks. This position plays a vital role in the setting and delivery of the strategic sales plan for SES Networks business activity in Australia.

Australia represents one of the largest Fixed Data Markets in terms of existing and future revenues. SES will need a laser focus on maintaining and growing its extensive revenue base.
The incumbent will be forming and executing the Fixed Data strategy of SES Networks in Australia.

Primary Responsibilities / Key Result Areas
The incumbent will be forming and executing the Fixed Data strategy of SES Networks in Australia.

  • Identification and self-dependent acquisition of new customers.
  • Acquisition of new customers with marketing campaigns, prospecting activities and participation in relevant exhibitions and conferences etc.
  • Solution orientated consulting of prospects.
  • Substantial increase of business, while protecting the customer base.
  • Commercialization of Mobile/Cellular Backhaul, IP Transit, and Remote Enterprise products in the region and achievement of the assigned revenue targets
  • Translate segment insights and customer requirements into customer leads and commercial strategy.
  • Open newly developed route to Government, Enterprise and Energy.
  • Negotiate and close high-value contracts; including qualifying leads, develop solutions, prepare proposals, make presentations.
  • Establish and execute strategic accounts plans for key prospects or customers.
  • Qualification of business opportunities and tenders.
  • Commercial development of customer base in coordination with PLM and SMM, the Product Management and Market Management divisions, respectively.
  • Qualify customers, issue proposals, follow-up and execute contract closure in a timely manner
  • Lead contract negotiations.
  • Proactive and continuous screening of the competitive environment and feedback to peer departments.
  • Analyze the respective domestic market in Australia Solo regarding the SES Networks broadband portfolio and how to implement adequate services into the markets.
  • An extensive understanding of the Australian satellite market and how this will impact SES operations in Australia
  • Travel as required



  • Ability to negotiate and close deals for high-value communications services
  • Effective presentation & communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent teamwork
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional project teams


Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in sales and marketing of Satellite Telecommunications or Data Communications Industry, ideally in Value-added services for B2B and/or B2C applications.
  • Strong experience in dealing with the satellite services retail industry and/or other marketing & sales experience in the Australian market
  • MBA preferred
  • Fluency in English, any other language is considered an asset
