As our Senior Training Specialist, you will work closely with internal teams to create learning solutions that drive business goals and objectives. You will manage an entire project life cycle including the design and development of training solutions.  You will also present design and project plans to the team for collaborative development.  You will be responsible for providing creative direction on interactivity and imagery.  We are looking for someone with a deep level of understanding of adult learning theory, specifically the modern learner, along with industry leading methodologies, and technology that support learning effectiveness in today’s world.

Extended Job Description:


  • Present and drive recommendations regarding course design, technology, and instructional delivery options
  • Own development and design documents, including effective learning objectives, content overviews, and training/project plans
  • Determine instructional media appropriate to learning strategies and learner resources; perform needs analysis, audience analysis, and technical analysis; provide creative approaches to program design and explore and recommend ideas that broaden and enrich the coursework
  • Collaboration with internal teams, external teams, and management to identify KSAs (knowledge, skills, abilities) and own the requirements are being met and projects are kept on schedule.  Provide regular status updates and potential risks to timelines – and drive the projects to schedule
  • Assists in the instructional design, development, and maintenance of training materials for Global Services including eLearning courses, live, or virtual training materials, and video tutorials
  • Assesses the effectiveness of training that has been delivered and creates action plans to improve performance – takes ownership across end-to-end effectiveness of training
  • Establish and drive productive relationships with leaders and subject matter experts.  It will be critical to obtain leadership support and commitment to all learning solutions that are implemented.
  • Must identify the wants and needs of various stakeholders and at times, present points of view that persuade others to shift their thinking and action to enable them to achieve their desired learning objectives
  • Collaborate with other functional leaders to ensure a seamless learner experience is understood and delivered and owns and drives any necessary changes in accordance with
  • Responsible for compliance with the ANSI/IACET 1-2018 standard for Continuing Education and Training

  • Learner focus and understanding of learners’ needs, concerns, and problems



  • 8+ years of related professional experience, as an Instructional Designer or Curriculum Developer including curriculum activity planning
  • Degree, or equivalent industry experience, in Education or Satellite Communications (well-versed in L&D instructional design for training programs delivered globally with solid knowledge of satellite communications)
  • Strong project management background including experience specific to managing the lifecycle of a training program from initiation thru implementation
  • Strong process orientation towards driving world class learning practices
  • Experience leading and coordinating meetings with stakeholders to share and gather feedback
  • Experience building and administering surveys and assessments
