In this role, you will guide and advice local employees throughout all talent management processes and assist local management with Human Capital related topics.

Extended Job Description:


Primary Responsibilities/Key Result Areas:


  • Primary point of contact for local site, with focus on individual employee requests and situational management
  • Closely collaborate with local Employee Services team on implementation of people services for your internal customer group
  • Co-create new ways of working and solutions with the HC centres of expertise, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, HRIS and Employee Services
  • Develop job descriptions for identified and agreed resource needs in close collaboration with the line manager and provide direction and guidance to the Talent Acquisition Team who is responsible for the management of the sourcing approach and talent acquisition pipeline, concretely
    • validate the job description with the business and respective HCBP and confirm preferred and most effective work location
    • create job requisition in HRIS
    • follow-up on status and validate final offer
  • Accompany the on-boarding of newly hired employees in line with agreed processes and in close cooperation with Employee Services
  • Collaborate with the HC Business Partner in the follow-through of talent management processes in line with SES’s Talent Management strategy and incorporating business requirements  (annual performance review of local employees, development plans, career discussions, provide input to succession planning and identification of talent groups)
  • Accompany local people managers and employees in the annual performance management process, including facilitation of goal setting and coaching on all performance management elements,
  • Participate in calibration sessions, which are led and facilitated by the HC Business Partners for the respective vertical
  • Coach people managers to link performance and career development goals to learning and development solutions (e.g.  conducting career development conversations, quality talent review sessions, matching personal purpose with company goals).
  • Manage performance or grievance procedures in line with local legal provisions
  • Manage local execution of all HC transactions not covered by Employee Services
  • Provide feedback to employees and people managers in a constructive way and inspire them to role model the SES culture
  • Coordinate employee and labour relations with the lead in the other countries to raise institutional employee relations matters, and receive advice as required
  • Contribute to local health and safety initiatives as well as local social events and local staff meetings (e.g. share information about HC initiatives (L&D, Wellbeing, Engagement, D&I, HRIS, C&B updates), ESG work and global corporate initiatives)
  • Foster the employee engagement approach and actions within the dedicated customer group, including coordination of staff meetings / town hall meetings with Management and Internal Communications to foster dialogue and constructive exchange
  • Partner with people managers the appropriate actions and interventions to drive engagement


Who We Are Looking For (More About You):


In order to achieve the outcomes described above, we believe you will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following:


Preferred Education & Experience (a combination of education and experience will be considered):


  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 to 6 years’ experience in Human Resources
  • Experience in 2 or more Human Resources functions or SHRM-CP certification
  • Experience in handling difficult conversations with a high level of diplomacy, confidentiality, and discretion
  • Experience influencing managers at different level of the organization (global, matrixed, and technical organizational experience a plus)
  • Experience prioritizing multiple tasks with a high attention to detail  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office
  • Ability to travel domestically 15% of the time
