ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

 

Are you an experienced engineer with passion for cloud solutions and willingness to work in a multicultural team in an international environment? If yes, this position could just be the one for you.

 

The position plays a key role in migrating and modernizing SES environment leveraging our corporate cloud platform and cloud certified products, with the highest extent of automation possible. To accomplish this, you will drive collaboration with the cloud teams and the appropriate subject matter experts for designing, defining and implementing cloud-native solutions replacing and complementing the current on-premises solutions. Your substantial knowledge in IT infrastructure technologies, with a focus on networking and security topics, as well as your cloud-native skillset enables you to successfully deliver on this assignment and to showcase potential cloud-native solutions to the teams.

 

Extended Job Description:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

 

  • Design and implement solutions using our corporate cloud platform, working towards cloud-native technologies and way of working.
  • Drive collaboration with the different IT teams and subject matter experts to design, implement and showcase cloud-native solutions replacing or complementing on-premises solutions, meeting existing technical and policy requirements with cloud-native technologies.
  • Modernize existing deployment to leverage Cloud native capabilities
  • Participate in the development and testing of the Azure DevOps modules used for the Azure Landing Zone delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Cloud DevOps engineers to improve new cloud-native infrastructure products in Terraform, according to design and security specifications defined by the Product Owners.
  • Embrace cloud-native thinking, Infrastructure as Code and end-to-end automation
  • Enable other IT departments for successful cloud adoption by providing hands-on technical guidance, Infrastructure as Code knowledge and delivering technical workshops to smaller audiences.
  • Work closely with the Cloud Center of Excellence Solution Architecture team
  • Stay up to date with cloud platform evolution and services
  • Ensure and create detailed technical documentation

 

COMPETENCIES

 

  • Strong Microsoft Azure knowledge (Administrator / Architect / DevOps)
  • Strong networking, network security and security knowledge with proven hands-on experience in an enterprise context
  • Terraform / HCL (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Azure DevOps or similar DevOps technologies (Git repositories, pipelines, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of Scrum as a development team member
  • Excellent team player with the ability to mentor team members on technical matters
  • Ability to prioritise, meet goals and provide results on time
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude and “doer mentality”

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or relevant field
  • At least 6-8 years’ experience in IT of which at least 1 years’ experience in public cloud solutions implementation and Infrastructure as Code
  • Sound technical understanding of the IT landscape and related technical skills
  • Solid skillset in networking, network security and security technologies
  • Fluency in English, any other language is considered as an asset
  • Willingness to occasionally travel internationally
