ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

As a Satellite Manufacturing Logistics Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow, availability, and control of materials required to support manufacturing operations. You will help manage components, consumables, tools, and equipment throughout the material lifecycle, from receipt and storage through to production support and shipment.

Working closely with Logistics, Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Engineering, and Program teams, you will perform activities across receiving, inventory management, warehouse operations, production material supply, traceability control, and shipping. This role offers hands-on experience within a regulated, high-technology manufacturing environment and exposure to ERP/MES systems, inventory control processes, and operational logistics.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

• Execute daily warehouse and logistics operations, including receiving, storage, picking, kitting, staging, and material distribution.
• Ensure timely material availability to support production schedules and operational priorities.
• Process goods for receipts and inventory transactions in ERP and MES systems.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and transaction verification.
• Ensure full material traceability by recording material movements, locations, lot numbers, and serial numbers.
• Prepare production kits and replenish manufacturing workstations and point-of-use inventory locations.
• Perform internal material transfers between warehouse, inspection, cleanroom, production, and quarantine areas.
• Coordinate outbound shipments and prepare associated shipping, customs, and transportation documentation.
• Support receiving inspection activities and manage the flow of non-conforming materials in collaboration with Quality teams.
• Operate barcode scanning and inventory management systems to support material control processes.
• Ensure compliance with ESD, cleanroom, hazardous material, safety, and quality requirements.
• Operate approved material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, following training and certification requirements.
• Contribute to warehouse organization, inventory control improvements, and the optimization of material flow processes.
• Support audits, inventory reviews, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and experience

• Technical diploma, vocational qualification, or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Operations, or a related field.
• At least 5 years’ experience in logistics, warehousing, inventory control, manufacturing, production support, or supply chain operations is preferred.
• Understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, material handling, and traceability processes.
• Familiarity with ERP, MES, or similar inventory management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to inventory accuracy and reliable system transactions.
• Good organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
• Fluency in English; French is an advantage.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, carry, push, and move materials safely throughout the workday.
• Ability to work in warehouse, manufacturing, cleanroom, and controlled environments.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety footwear, safety glasses, and ESD protection equipment.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse and material handling equipment following training and company procedures.
• Existing forklift certification is an advantage; willingness to obtain and maintain certification is required.
• Willingness to work on-site within warehouse, logistics, and manufacturing operations.
• Interest in working within a regulated aerospace or high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of ESD, cleanroom operations, quality systems, or hazardous material handling is an advantage.
• Commitment to working safely and maintaining high standards of quality, traceability, and inventory accuracy.
• Flexibility to support inventory, production supply, warehouse, and shipping activities according to business needs.

OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS

• Eligibility for ESA/EU/NATO SECRET personal security clearances is essential. Candidates must be prepared to undergo a security clearance procedure, as this position may require holding such a clearance
