ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

6-month internship, starting as soon as possible

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Strategy & Market Intelligence (SMI) team in a fast-paced, global organization within an innovative and unique industry.

Based in Luxembourg - Betzdorf, you will contribute  to evaluating our global satellite data markets, tracking key competitive and market information, analyzing major trends and making those analyses available across the organization. This position also works closely with various other departments and business verticals including regional sales and marketing teams located in Asia, Middle East, Africa and America. The role offers exposure to a broad range of diverse activities in connectivity markets for Government, Regional Telcos and Global Satellite service providers and will also provide a comprehensive understanding of the SMI department.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the SMI team in providing ad-hoc support for regional Sales, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders
  • Improve and update internal market intelligence databases (i.e. deals, pricing, demand & supply)
  • Research and report on selected market trends for Government, Telcom and Enterprise broadband markets
  • Work together with the SMI team in analyzing and reporting on key competitive trends
  • Support updating and improving internal IT visualization tools tracking Geostationary/Non-Geostationary High throughput satellite systems
  • Support the publication of a quarterly satellite competition report analyzing new competition Satellites and constellations

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • Being an advanced Bachelor/ Master’s student in Business/Economics or in a relevant technical area;
  • Strong interest in the telecommunication business and technical interest in satellites
  • Excellent analytical and judgment skills, experience with modelling and data visualization;
  • Ability to set priorities and to work under tight deadlines;
  • Computer literate (MS PowerPoint, Excel, Access);
  • Work independently as well as in a team;
  • Easiness to communicate at all levels;
  • Fluency in spoken and written English with additional languages considered an asset.
  • EU nationality or work permit for Luxembourg.
