This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Americas Tax team in a fast-paced, growing organization within a dynamic industry. Based in the DC/VA area, you will assist the Americas Tax team in a variety of internal project for 6 months.

 

The Americas Tax team is responsible for tax planning and compliance for US federal and state and local income taxes, local property taxes, sales and use taxes, financial statement reporting, IRS and state audits, international tax as it relates to cross border transactions involving our global organization, and Americas local taxes in Canada.  The successful candidate will assist our team of four in all aspects of Americas taxation.

 

Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist in the tax compliance for the US

  • Assist in preparing the estimated tax calculations, extensions and tax returns

  • Liaise with accounting group in analyzing and manipulating accounting data for necessary tax calculations including fixed assets, interest expense calculations, effect of cross border transactions on US taxation and all related accounting topics

  • Assist in project management and file building

  • Assist with enhancement of a global tax compliance database

  • Support the Luxembourg-based Transfer Pricing team on all Americas transfer pricing matters
     

 

YOUR PROFILE

1. You must have

  • Current university student preparing a Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills
  • Computer literacy including PowerPoint and Excel experience
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder

 

2. It would be nice if you had

  • Strong interest in the satellite communication/telecommunication industry
  • Additional languages are considered an asset
