ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Portal Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the functionality, usability, and reliability of our customer portal. This role requires a strong understanding of business functionalities, excellent testing skills using Selenium for web application testing, and proficiency in testing APIs using Postman.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
- Functional Testing:
- Understand and analyze business requirements and user stories related to the customer portal.
- Create and execute comprehensive test cases to ensure all functionalities meet business needs.
- Identify and report defects with clear, concise documentation.
- Automated Testing with Selenium:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver for web application testing.
- Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and report any failures.
- Continuously enhance and optimize test scripts for efficiency and maintainability.
- API Testing with Postman:
- Conduct API testing using Postman to validate data exchanges and integrations.
- Write API test scripts to verify the functionality, performance, and security of APIs.
- Collaborate with developers to resolve API-related issues.
- Regression Testing:
- Perform regression testing to ensure that new features or updates do not negatively impact existing functionalities.
- Maintain a regression test suite and automate recurring regression tests where applicable.
- Documentation:
- Document test cases, test results, and any issues discovered during testing.
- Create and maintain test plans and test strategy documentation.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure alignment on testing priorities and requirements.
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings and sprint planning sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in functional testing of web applications, understanding business processes, and translating them into test cases.
- Proficiency in test automation using Selenium WebDriver and scripting languages (preferably with C#).
- Strong experience in API testing with tools like Postman, understanding RESTful APIs and JSON.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies, test management tools, and defect tracking systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum) is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation is a plus
