Specialist, Application Tester - ServiceNow

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
    Create and execute comprehensive test cases to ensure all functionalities meet business needs.
    Identify and report defects with clear, concise documentation.
    Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca.
    Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and report any failures.
    Continuously enhance and optimize test scripts for efficiency and maintainability.
    Conduct API testing using Postman to validate data exchanges and integrations.
    Write API test scripts to verify the functionality, performance, and security of APIs.
    Collaborate with developers to resolve API-related issues.
    Perform regression testing to ensure that new features or updates do not negatively impact existing functionalities.
    Maintain a regression test suite and automate recurring regression tests where applicable.
    Document test cases, test results, and any issues discovered during testing.
    Create and maintain test plans and test strategy documentation.
    Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure alignment on testing priorities and requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
▪    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
▪    5 years of proven experience in functional testing of web applications, understanding business pro-cesses, and translating them into test cases.
▪    Proficiency in test automation using Tricentis Tosca and scripting languages (e.g.,JavaScript).
▪    Excellent experience in API testing with tools like Postman, understanding RESTful APIs and JSON.
▪    Knowledge of software testing methodologies, test management tools, and defect tracking systems.
▪    Knowledge of the ServiceNow platform from a tester perspective
▪    Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
▪    Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
▪    Familiarity with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum) is a plus.
