Manager, Quality Assurance

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The position is directly responsible for leading and coordinating the QA team, developing test strategies, executing and overseeing test execution and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. This role requires a deep understanding of QA methodologies, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including external test teams. Additionally, the role requires experience in AI testing methodologies to enhance test coverage and efficiency through AI-driven techniques.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Lead and mentor the QA team, providing guidance and support.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies.
  • Coordinate and execute test activities, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Perform hands-on testing to identify, document, and track defects and issues.
  • Leverage generative AI for innovative software development and testing solutions.
  • Create detailed test cases from user stories to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Collaborate with development, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with external test teams to ensure alignment and integration of testing efforts.
  • Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Prepare and present test reports and metrics to management.
  • Perform other tasks as required

  • Fluency in spoken and written English with additional languages considered an asset 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience as a QA Test Lead or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Hands-on experience with test case creation, execution, and defect tracking
  • Hands-on experience in running the Testing planning meetings, Defect triage, Testing Entry, testing exit gateways and Test closure meetings
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
  • Deep understanding of Agile software development methodology and Azure DevOps
  • Certification in QA or software testing (e.g., ISTQB)
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is a plus
  • Experience with AI technologies and their application in quality assurance processes is a plus
  • Experience in the telecommunication field is highly desirable
  • Experience with AI-driven testing tools
  • Experience in integrating AI solutions into existing testing frameworks.
  • Experience with Amdocs products is a plus
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
