Analyst, FP&A Business Performance Analytics
ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The incumbent works as part of the FP&A team and is responsible for business performance analytics. S/he is responsible for developing new data models and financial reports for the Finance Department as well as supporting the FP&A team in the planning activities. The Business Performance Analytics Team is working on enhancing the internal reporting processes to allow a more focused analysis of financial and operational KPIs. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS Act as key contact person for new reporting requirements in the Finance Department and provide sup-port in developing new data models and reports Translate business requirements into technical requirements and act as the main link between the Finance Department and Business Application Team Maintain Power BI dashboards, collecting requirements for new dashboards, and creating those dash-boards with the required dataflows/dataset Drive automation of standard reporting, working with Business Application, Finance and Commercial stakeholders to ensure key reports are built into self-service type dashboards Analyse data and process to identify business issues and bottle necks Participate in discussions related to reporting processes in the Finance Department and provide guid-ance to ensure proper reporting and to enhance current processes Manage internal processes during planning activities by preparing and maintaining data models and input templates COMPETENCIES Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Able to work autonomously as well as in a team Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Able to analyses large data set with an attention to detail High level of curiosity to gain understanding of key business processes and data flows Articulate ideas and concepts to further enhance internal processes Able to differentiate between Business and Technical requirements Able to plan own time carefully and prioritise QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE University degree in Computer Informatics, Finance/Economics with Computer Science qualifications or Computer Science with Finance qualifications At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role Excellent understanding of a programming language and database structures Experience with MS Power BI or similar Reporting tools |
