Project Quality & Governance Manager

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

Support governance, processes and execution of project delivery in customer engagements allowing the transformation and implementation of Managed & Professional Services to get better every day. Ensure Adherence to governance frameworks, quality standards, and compliance mechanisms to drive efficiency and excellence. Champion continuous improvement, risk management, and tool adoption to ensure high-performance execution across managed services customer engagements. 


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS:

    Ensure adherence of high-quality delivery in customer programs for the implementation and transfor-mation of managed and professional services.
    Create and manage the audit process for Managed & Professional Services, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
    Oversee security, audit, and compliance standards across programs, providing recommendations and standardized templates to program teams to ensure consistency and regulatory adherence.
    Continuously assess, propose, and implement improvements to project/program management pro-cesses and tools, optimizing overall performance.
    Provide “Fast Start” support for initial phase of programs with required processes, governance and standards.
    Police and deliver quality gate processes and criteria (e.g. Handover to production).
    Co-create quality control initiatives with service excellence during project execution, identifying poten-tial gaps and conducting internal team training to address issues and enhance team capabilities.
    Set and promote high standards of excellence for satellite telecommunications implementation and transformation, driving continuous improvement across all projects.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
    Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in program/project management, with at least 5 years in a Quality focused role.
    Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL are highly desirable.
    Professional certifications such as JNCIA, CCNA are highly desirable.
    Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, etc.) and methodologies (PMBOK, Agile, Prince2)
    Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-functional programs, preferably within the tele-communications or IT services industry with a Quality focus.
    Strong experience in developing and enforcing governance models, quality standards, and au-dit/compliance frameworks
    Proven track record of leading service implementation or transformation initiatives.
    Familiarity with satellite telecommunications technologies is an advantage.
    Knowledge of audit, security, and regulatory standards relevant to managed services. 
    Strong track record in streamlining workflows, implementing standards, and improving performance.
