ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

As part of the Digital Marketing team within Marketing and Communications, you will be responsible for managing updates on the company websites using Drupal. Content updates will need to be accurate, timely and made with appropriate approvals.

 

With a strong eye for detail, and a basic understanding of web design, SEO, and user experience (UX) best practices, you will need to provide recommendations to content owners and optimise the site to ensure a high-performing and engaging online presence.

 

An important part of the role consists of coordinating with the internal stakeholders and external agencies. This incumbent will need to manage stakeholder expectations and work efficiently to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Responsible for raising, tracking and testing development requests to the external web agencies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Manage and prioritise the internal requests for page creation and content updates in Drupal, including managing the stakeholder communications, approvals, and testing
  • Take ownership of the website maintenance tickets which are sent to the external web agency, including creation, tracking, testing and communication to stakeholders
  • Ensure content is properly structured, consistent, aligned with brand guidelines, and visually appealing
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website errors, bugs, and performance issues
  • Have a solid understanding of our SEO content guidelines and provide advice to the content creators when necessary
  • Understand the importance of the user journey and pay attention to the purpose and goals defined for each page
  • Take responsibility for the on-page conversion rate by choosing the most engaging layout options for each page and paying attention to appropriate calls to action
  • Proactive monitoring of website for broken links, outdated content, and formatting issues.
  • Ensure content is mobile-friendly and follows accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG)
  • Take ownership of Tag Manager, Analytics, Cloudflare, Salesforce, SSL renewals

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in business, Marketing, or Computer Science; or and equivalent combination of education and experience providing a comparable level of expertise
  • 1-3 years of prior work experience in similar field
  • Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla considered an asset. Knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Experience working with web analytics tools like Google Analytics
  • Basic understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive web design
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG compliance)
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills. Fluent in English
  • Analytical with strong troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator is considered an asset
