Junior Specialist, Graphic Design

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

You will play a critical role in collaborating with the Brand Strategy & Development Director and the Global Marketing & Communications team at SES to ensure brand touchpoints consistently reflect SES’s established guidelines and high standards.

 

Within the Brand Studio team, you will help craft and deliver compelling visual stories that resonate with our key audiences. Your passion for design and branding will drive the creation of innovative visual treatments and creative concepts that strengthen our brand narrative and support SES’s strategic objectives. In this role, you will demonstrate your ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders and departments, partnering with internal teams and external vendors to deliver impactful, high-quality creative solutions.

 

With a meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, you will refine, expand, and maintain our brand expression, ensuring that SES’s visual identity evolves while remaining consistent across all touchpoints.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS:

  • Design and Production: Create visually engaging executions tailored to diverse internal stakeholder needs across digital, print, and exhibition platforms. Specific tasks may include:
    • Developing illustrations such as diagrams, infographics, logos, and icons.
    • Creating impactful presentations using PowerPoint and Word.
    • Designing site branding and signage, including office posters, banners, and environmental graphics.
  • Client Collaboration: Engage directly with internal clients to define project requirements and implement creative strategies. Responsibilities include:
    • Managing design projects from concept to delivery, including negotiating timelines and providing alternative solutions as needed.
    • Ensuring creative outputs align with SES’s strategic goals and brand standards.
  • Brand Assets Development: Design and produce effective, brand-compliant assets that support organisational objectives. This includes:
    • Developing layouts for direct mail, marketing collateral, and point-of-sale materials using InDesign and the Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Preparing print-ready files, reviewing specifications, and delivering high-quality mock-ups and presentations.
  • Strategic Branding and Design Solutions:
    • Lead resolution of branding, design, and layout challenges, ensuring projects adhere to SES’s brand strategy.
    • Provide creative direction on large-scale campaigns and collaborate with vendors for video production, animation, and multimedia projects.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with all areas of the Marketing & Communications team to ensure timely and effective delivery of high-quality creative outputs.
  • Brand Guidelines Maintenance:
    • Regularly update and manage content on the brand.ses.com guidelines platform, ensuring all materials reflect the latest standards and brand consistency.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • 2+ years of proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing impactful and innovative projects.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Advanced skills in motion graphics, UX/UI, or multimedia design are a plus.
  • Candidates must present a portfolio of their work and complete an assessment based on SES brand guidelines to demonstrate skills and alignment with brand standards.
