(Senior) Specialist, Instructional Design Talent Management
ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The (Senior) Specialist, Instructional Design Talent Management supports the development of SES’s global talent strategy by designing engaging, scalable, and impactful resources for talent management initiatives across the organization. Strong experience in instructional design, adult learning methodologies, digital learning technologies, and content development is essential to creating materials aligned with business objectives and strategic priorities.
Partnering with local and global stakeholders, this role focuses on the design, development and maintenance of learning materials, toolkits, guides, presentations, and digital content. These resources will support employee development, leadership capability, performance management, skill development, and engagement initiatives across SES.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
1. Learning Content Design & Resource Creation
• Design and develop engaging learning resources and materials that support Talent Management and Engagement initiatives across SES.
• Create visually compelling presentations, facilitator guides, learner materials, job aids, toolkits, infographics, surveys, digital assets and branded communications.
• Build digital learning materials across multiple formats including eLearning modules, vid-eos, microlearning, SharePoint / intranet content, and interactive resources.
• Support with creation and maintenance of intranet pages, digital learning libraries, and Talent Management resource repositories.
• Update existing learning resources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance.
2. Instructional Design & Learning Experience
• Apply instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to create effective and engaging learning experiences.
• Recommend instructional approaches and content strategies aligned to learner needs and business objectives.
• Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to organize content and learning journeys in a scalable and user-friendly way.
• Ensure learning materials are visually engaging, learner-centered, accessible, and aligned to SES branding standards.
3. Research & Insights
• Conduct research on industry trends, future skills, learning methodologies, and Talent Management best practices to support enterprise initiatives.
• Analyze and synthesize information from internal and external sources into actionable insights, presentations, and learning materials.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies, digital learning trends, and innovative ap-proaches to employee development and organizational capability building.
4. Stakeholder Management
• Act as a point of contact for India/APAC leaders and HR Teams in the development of learning resources, presentations, research, and Talent Management content initiatives.
• Gather stakeholder feedback to continuously improve learning materials, communication effectiveness, and learner engagement.
• Coordinate relationships with external vendors and partners supporting Talent Manage-ment initiatives, including leadership development resources, skills and career content, learning materials, and enterprise development programs for India / APAC.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
• 5-10 years of professional experience in HR, with focus on talent management and employee en-gagement.
• Proven experience managing engagement surveys, performance processes, or succession plan-ning.
• Adult learning and survey methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, Kirkpatrick Model, etc.).
• Project management and utilizing tracking tools (Microsoft Project, Trello, Monday, etc.).
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills; proficiency in MS Office 365 and HRIS tools.
• Experience with AI, resource and eLearning authoring tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate, Canva, Synthesia) preferred.
