(Junior) Engineer, Digital Workplace Experience

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The position is directly responsible for the management, operations, and development of applications and IT infrastructure solutions within SES (the group) and affiliated companies, as well as for IT Project support within the organization and customer related projects with a focus on applications dedicated to Digital Workplace, Digital Adoption and Messaging & Collaboration environments. The incumbent will execute projects, development, support and maintenance within the Digital Experience field by ensuring timely task and project implementation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Develop, test, support and maintain automation solutions on M365 platform using MS PowerShell, C#, Graph API, JavaScript and .NET framework
  • Manage and develop applications and integrations on Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure platforms
  • Define and implement work packages to support and maintain the Digital Workplace system architecture
  • Develop, install, configure, test and support applications and services, system management tools and cloud environments
  • Manage and measure the support for applications during and after implementation, including the resolution of all problems associated with their successful operation.
  • Engineer, operate, and support applications within or operated by the Office 365 environment.
  • Operate and support the system and applications monitoring environment and monitoring applications.
  • Proactively improve and develop IT services automatizations.
  • Implement continuous improvement and automations for IT on-premises and off-premises environments, including continuous review and optimizations on associated processes.
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers, network, security, and other appropriate stakeholders to implement potential fixes or improve features or performance.
  • Take on responsibility for timely implementation for assigned projects and activities.
  • Document environments and procedures.
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Deliver 2nd Level on-call support to assist the SES teams on application or system issues, including outside office hours.
  • Take ownership of resolving assigned tasks and problems.
  • Execute work-related tasks closely collaborating with other IT and business functions
  • Ensure that all systems selected or developed comply with prevailing IT Architectural Standards, including but not limited to security standards and Information Security policies.
  • Evaluate application opportunities and threats by new trends and developments in and outside of SES.
  • Stay up-to-date with state-of-the-art methodologies, technologies, and methodologies, and use this knowledge to analyse, maintain systems and applications, and continuously improve them.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
  • Minimum five years of applicable professional experience.
  • Excellent skills in developing with MS PowerShell, C#, Graph API, JavaScript and .NET framework
  • Proven experience on M365 integrations
  • Sound technical understanding of the IT landscape and related technical skills, as well as its Digital Workplace.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365: MS SharePoint Online & OneDrive for Business, MS Power Platform, Microsoft Graph API, MS Power BI, MS PowerShell, MS Teams, MS Groups, Azure Active Directory, AD Connect, ADFS, Exchange Online, MS O365 E5 Compliance and security features (Azure Information Protection, Cloud Security, DLP).
  • General Windows landscape: MS Windows Servers, MS SQL, MS IIS.
  • Fluency in English, any other language is considered an asset.
  • Microsoft certifications are considered an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (<1%)
