Specialist, Procurement Operations

SES Bucharest is looking for a Procurement Operations Specialist to join the agile and foxy Procurement team, supporting and guiding the stakeholders and budget holders on the Procurement policies and tools as to assure the compliance. 
In this position you should review and validate the execution of procurement strategies and projects on-time, on-spec, on-budget and in compliance with SES policies, while working with local, regional or global budget holders to facilitate sourcing of small value projects (e.g. up to 50k € / $ per project).


You will be responsible for (this is not an exhaustive list):
•    In charge for Purchase Request / Purchase Order validation
•    Support relevant functions on executing the strategy in the relevant category and coordinate the execution of category strategies, in strong collaboration with the Vendor Management & Procurement global, regional and local teams
•    Implement the bid and negotiation strategy for all commodities covered by category strategy through analysis of global markets, commodity trends, technology, value chain analysis, clean sheet costing, business needs and vendor relationship management, all in accordance with the Procurement policy and other relevant procedures and policies
•    Leverage market intelligence data through should-cost models and other forms of financial or negotiation strategies
•    Apply VM&P and Company’s processes, policies, procedures and systems along the sourcing process (VMS, vendor account creation and maintenance, saving calculation, reporting, etc.), represent VMP during internal and external audits, as needed and in coordination with other VM&P team members




1.    Must Have
•    Technical or Business degree
•    Master's Degree in Engineering, Telecom, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Finance or Business Management
•    Minimum of 2 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain and/or Order Management


2.    Nice to Have
•    Knowledge of commercial contract laws, accounting and international business practices, risk management, procurement and supply chain processes
•    Experience in ERP systems (preferably SAP ECC),  SAP Ariba or other e-Procurement tools
•    Background in Telecom, IT or Service Provider organizations, part of multicultural and globally distributed teams, multinational matrix organization
