Senior Product Analyst
ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Senior Product Analyst at SES plays a pivotal role in shaping, governing, and optimizing the global portfolio of connectivity services offered across SES’s multi-orbit network. Guided by SES values—courage, collaboration, customer focus, and integrity—this role blends strategic portfolio leadership with hands-on portfolio operations.
A key responsibility is to coordinate seamlessly with Product, Engineering, and PMO teams to ensure strategic priorities are translated into executable plans, and that the SES committed roadmap is accurate, realistic, and aligned with customer and market needs
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
1.1.1 Portfolio Strategy & Governance
- Maintain SES-wide portfolio strategy aligned with customer needs, market trends, and network capabilities.
- Run governance forums ensuring transparent, data-driven decisions.
- Define evaluation frameworks and prioritization models.
- Ensure initiatives reflect market opportunities and multi-orbit strengths.
- Align strategy across verticals, service lines, and platforms.
1.1.2 Prioritization & Investment Planning
- Lead SES’s cross-functional portfolio prioritization process, working directly with Product, Engineering, and PMO to evaluate demand, feasibility, and capacity.
- Recommend investments based on impact, feasibility, complexity, and customer value.
- Support scenario modeling and trade-off discussions.
- You will leverage your organizational position to advocate for your customer airlines in the prioritization of software development and participate in Incident Review Board proceedings.
- Communicate prioritization outcomes clearly to stakeholders.
1.1.3 Portfolio Operations & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Translate priorities into executable plans across Strategy, Product, Engineering, and PMO.
- Validate feasibility, dependencies, and resource constraints with Engineering.
- Track progress and ensure roadmap reflects real-time updates.
- Ensure Product Managers provide accurate requirements and readiness milestones.
- Drive operational discipline for predictable, high-quality delivery.
1.1.4 Roadmap Management & Communication
- Own SES’s unified portfolio roadmap.
- Deliver executive-ready updates highlighting progress, risks, and impacts.
- Communicate roadmap changes with clarity and cross-functional awareness.
- Provide visibility into resource shifts, dependencies, and customer-driven impacts.
1.1.5 Portfolio Performance & Value Tracking
- Track KPIs including adoption, revenue/margin contribution, and customer experience.
- Evaluate value realization and recommend optimizations.
- Provide insights to improve long-term planning and operational efficiency.
- Champion continuous improvement and customer-centric decision-making.
COMPETENCIES

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s in Business, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
- 7+ years in product management/portfolio leadership in connectivity, telecom, satellite, or SaaS.
- Experience coordinating Product, Engineering, and PMO functions.
- Strong communication, stakeholder alignment, and executive presentation skills.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Airfocus, Jira, Clarity, Smartsheet and any other roadmap tool.
- Analytical strength, financial evaluation capability, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of service-based product development and customer experience design.
Preferred
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent).
- Certifications: PfMP, PgMP, PMP, Agile leadership.
- Familiarity with SES’s multi-orbit fleet, QoS, service assurance, and digital platforms.
