Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting & Consolidation

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Are you a finance professional ready to make an impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? SES is looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to support our Group Financial Reporting team on a 18 months fixed-term contract. You’ll play a key role in the Group’s IFRS monthly financial consolidation and internal management reporting, as well as supporting the extended external reporting requirements of the Group as it moves through a series of transformational strategic projects.

You will be responsible for (this is not an exhaustive list):

• Give support to the Senior Manager in the review process of the consolidation tasks performed by the GFR team
• Be involved in posting of journal entries and resolution of problems / irregularities in the closing process through clear communication with, and coordination of, team members across the Group including Controlling, Accounting, Tax, Treasury and other Finance functions, as needed
• Be a key contributor in the enhancement of SOX key controls by ensuring that the expected documentation and proof of review are in place and functioning effectively
• Perform / review periodic controls to ensure the operational effectiveness of the group financial reporting process, provide coaching and guidance to team members
• Be involved in the preparation of high-quality drafts of both the Group’s internal and external reporting, including the consolidated IFRS financial statements and other sets of financials as needed
• Prepare and update the IFRS Disclosure checklist for the half- and full-year consolidated financial statements
• Prepare IFRS accounting memos on non-routine and/ or significant accounting transactions
• Coordinate the impairment testing process at the statutory level
• Deputise for the Senior Manager and take over tasks delegated by the Senior Manager, as needed

YOUR PROFILE

Must Have

• Qualifications: ACCA (qualified or partially) or equivalent,.
• Experience: 5+ years in multi-currency consolidations under IFRS.
• Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a knack for clear communication in an international setting.
• Language: Fluency in English (oral and written).

Nice to Have

• SOX experience is a plus
• Ideally, Big-4 experience or background
