Jr. Dataminer Administrator and Software developer

Part of the SAS video team you will work togheter with other colleagues to capture and implement monitoring requirements and accelerate the monitoring system  for the SES Video Services with advanced features, like automation improvements, root cause analyses, Artificial intelligence alarming and preventive monitoring.



  • Support of the global monitoring systems
  • Further develop concepts for the monitoring of our services.
  • Development of drivers, connection of new devices and services to the current Dataminer system
  • Development and maintenance of a CMDB connector to increase the automatization level
  • Generation of service monitoring templates
  • Support of the global support system team with your expertise


What we are looking for:


  • Profound knowledge of the technologies, products and workflows involved in satellite broadcast, OTT and network solutions
  • Experience in object oriented programming, preferable in C#
  • Strong affinity with MS Windows server operating systems
  • Experience in HTML, XML, REST, SOAP, SNMP, communication protocols in general, and client-server systems
  • Profound knowledge of TCP/IP networking, multithreading, Web Services and .Net Remoting
  • Knowledge of MySQL, Apache Cassandra and Elasticsearch is an asset
  • Knowledge of Microsoft tools, including MS Visio
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services is a plus
  • General understanding of software architecture concepts
  • Willingness to challenge and continuously improve established monitoring concepts
  • University degree in telecom or ICT preferred, alternatively minimum 5 years of experience in a comparable position in the communication industry combined with education as qualified IT specialist, radio and television technology specialist or similar
  • Willingness to provide on-call support on a scheduled base
