Human Capital Business Partner

SES site in Romania is undergoing a rapid growth process where we over the coming 18 months are looking to scale our business. To support this exciting process we are looking for a new Human Capital colleague to lead our local Human Capital activities, with a focus on people, communication and culture.

Extended Job Description:




  • With guidance from the headquarter, own the People agenda locally and determine how we for example best grow our presence in the market, how we create opportunities for development for our local talent
  • Play a key part in the successful scaling of the local site
  • Align, adapt and implement global policies to local market & context
  • Work closely with centers of Excellence and provide local insights
  • Responsible for smooth running of day-to-day activities and all HR processes: onboarding of new employees, performance management, talent development, retention strategy, etc. with the support of a local HC Specialist
  • Solve employee related issues
  • Monitor developments in labor law and determine how to best implement relevant changes locally in cooperation  with our external labor law consultants
  • Responsible for change in employment contracts, compliance to social security, health and safety requirements, terminations management
  • Assistance to management in terms of performance appraisal, people development and key HC processes




  • Ability to connect, communicate with all levels in organisation including senior management
  • Experience in handling difficult conversations with a high level of diplomacy, confidentiality and discretion
  • Demonstrated proactive and pragmatic approach to problem-solving
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to work in autonomy while following international SES standards and adapting to local context
  • Good facilitation, communication and negotiation skills; ability to listen and influence others based on sound logic
  • Good knowledge of local labour law
  • Excellent organisational skills, focus on delivering results and following through on commitments
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage time efficiently
  • Practical thinking, hands on capabilities, collaborative, professional and positive profile




  • Bachelor in Business administration, Human resources, law or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HC including hands on activities, problem solving, planning, labour law exposure, of which min 3 in an international environment
  • Partner role, including hands on activities, problem solving and very good personal organisation
  • Very good knowledge of MS office; knowledge of SAP, and PowerBI being an asset
  • Fluent in English
