(Senior) Analyst, HR Analytics and Workforce Planning

 

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

 

As a (Senior) Analyst, HR Analytics and Workforce Planning, you will deliver high-quality analysis, reporting, and insights that enable better workforce decisions. You will work closely with the Team Lead and stakeholders to build analytics products, conduct workforce analyses, and support strategic workforce planning activities.

This is a hands-on role focused on data analysis, visualization, and insight generation, with growing exposure to workforce planning and advisory work.

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

 

1. Workforce Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports on key workforce metrics (headcount, attrition, diversity, etc.).
  • Conduct analyses to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Support ad-hoc data requests and business questions with timely, accurate outputs.

 

2. Data Management & Quality

  • Extract, clean, and validate HR data from multiple sources.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting outputs.
  • Apply defined data standards and governance practices.

 

3. Workforce Planning Support

  • Support workforce planning activities through data preparation, modelling, and analysis.
  • Assist in demand forecasting, skills analysis, and scenario modelling exercises.
  • Prepare inputs for workforce planning discussions and presentations.

 

4. Insight Generation & Storytelling

  • Translate analytical findings into clear, concise insights.
  • Contribute to presentations and reports for HR and business stakeholders.
  • Highlight trends, risks, and opportunities based on data analysis.

 

5. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, and other stakeholders to understand data needs.
  • Provide analytical support for HR initiatives and projects.

 

6. Tools & Innovation

  • Contribute to development of dashboards, automation, and basic analytical tools.
  • Continuously improve technical skills and explore new analytical techniques.
  • Support small-scale experimentation or prototype development.

 

COMPETENCIES

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, HR, or related field.
  • 5-8 years Experience in HR analytics, data analysis, or related field.
  • Strong skills in data visualization (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Excel; basic to intermediate skills in Python/R or SQL (preferred).
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with structured and unstructured data.
  • Good communication skills with ability to explain data clearly.
  • Eagerness to learn workforce planning concepts and business context.
