Senior Analyst, HR Analytics and Workforce Planning

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY 

As Senior Analyst, HR Analytics & Workforce Planning, you will translate strategic direction into execution by leading day-to-day delivery of analytics, workforce planning, and insight generation. You will act as a bridge between strategy and execution—owning key analytics products, guiding junior team members, and partnering with HR and business leaders to deliver actionable, data-driven insights. 

You will play a critical role in operationalizing workforce planning frameworks, embedding analytics into HR processes, and ensuring high-quality outputs that support decision-making across the organization. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS 

 

1. Workforce Analytics & Insights 

  • Lead the development and delivery of dashboards and analytics products covering workforce trends (attrition, skills, productivity, diversity). 

  • Translate business questions into analytical approaches and actionable insights. 

  • Apply scenario modelling and forecasting to support hiring, retention, and workforce investment decisions. 

  • Ensure analytics outputs are accurate, relevant, and aligned to business priorities. 

2. Data Strategy, Governance & Quality 

  • Support implementation of HR data architecture and data models aligned with enterprise platforms (e.g., Databricks). 

  • Define and maintain consistent metrics, definitions, and reporting standards. 

  • Partner with IT and HR Digital teams to ensure data quality, integration, and usability. 

  • Monitor and improve data integrity and reporting accuracy. 

3. Strategic Workforce Planning 

  • Operationalize the workforce planning framework (demand forecasting, skills analysis, scenario models). 

  • Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to translate strategy into workforce implications. 

  • Support alignment of workforce plans with recruiting and talent strategies. 

  • Contribute to skills mapping and workforce segmentation efforts. 

4. Business Partnering & Advisory 

  • Act as a trusted partner to HR stakeholders by providing insights and recommendations. 

  • Translate data into clear narratives for senior stakeholders. 

  • Identify workforce risks and opportunities and propose solutions. 

5. Team Guidance & Delivery Management 

  • Influence and mentor analysts; review outputs to ensure quality and consistency. 

  • Coordinate external resources when required by project 

  • Manage priorities, workflows, and delivery timelines across analytics initiatives. 

  • Drive continuous improvement in tools, methodologies, and processes. 

  • Contribute hands-on to complex analyses and executive materials. 

6. Innovation & Capability Building 

  • Support development of lightweight tools, dashboards, or prototypes to solve HR problems. 

  • Promote data-driven decision making across HR communities. 

  • Contribute to building analytics literacy across HR teams. 

COMPETENCIES 

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Data Analytics, or related field. 

  • Strong 8-12 years experience in workforce analytics, HR analytics, or workforce planning. 

  • Proven ability to deliver dashboards, analytics solutions, and scenario modelling. 

  • Advanced proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Excel, and working knowledge of Python/R (preferred). 

  • Understanding of HR data (e.g., SuccessFactors) and enterprise data environments. 

  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders (HR, IT, Finance). 

  • Strong storytelling and communication skills for business audiences. 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and guide junior team members.
