ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Demand Planner position is a key and strategic role within Supply Chain management. Key ob-jectives will be managing supply and demand within Supply chain supporting Segment demand, Product and Engineering inventory. Also achieving/improving/exceeding targeted customer service levels and managing inventory levels. This position will require strong and accurate skills to support the procurement of inventory and services in an efficient and effective way. Reporting on progress and status amongst collaboration with internal stakeholders is key for this role. Excellent organiza-tional skills, ability to balance short term priorities and exceptional information analysis skills are a necessity.
As a Demand Planner, you will be responsible for :
• Analyse Segment Specific demand from CRM and confirm sales teams have accurately com-pleted the sales stages and Bills of Materials. Plan supply and execute procurement of materials from global suppliers.
• Maintain strong working relationships and communications with key suppliers to confirm produc-tion/shipping schedules and monitor open purchase orders for all orders to ensure on-time deliv-eries.
• Proactively report product and material availability issues.
• Coordinate inventory planning and replenishment of materials and components in conjunction with our customer services management teams.
• Analyse and manage MRP, Source list, Material master/parameters; Revise essential system planning data to ensure our system is effectively planning future requirements.
• Inventory Management: Support reporting, inventory parameters, reduction and reserve percent-age measurements.
• Provide support for the procurement requirements of the segments and Engineering teams.
• Interact with cross-functional subject Matter Experts to ensure the technical requirements for the purchased goods are met.
• Provide routine updates and reports on individual purchase requisitions and issued purchase or-ders. Maintain purchase order status and shipment tracking information in SAP.
• Supplier Management: RFQ, Cost saving initiatives, Negotiations, Supplier relation-ship/evaluation.
• Work closely with supervisor to maintain relevant procurement metrics to measure performance.
• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
• Perform other duties assigned as needed.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor economics or equivalent.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Expert knowledge of procurement, forecast, and inventory control
- Experience in handling high-value commodity and high-volume transactions
- Good at multi-tasking, prioritizing and dealing with constant changes
- Experience with SAP and specifically MRP
- Knowledge of Microsoft suite
- Experience working within an international procurement environment is preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with internal and external personnel at all levels of the organization.
