ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a (Junior) Engineer, Network Cyber Security to join our team in Bucharest!

Your mission is to help protect SES’ global hybrid infrastructure by implementing information system and cloud security controls as part of SES Zero-Trust Security Roadmap. You will provide information security support services to architects and network/system/application/cloud engineers within the organization to meet new and evolving security requirements specializing in Network Security and related technologies and solutions.
You will be responsible for (this is not an exhaustive list):
- Plan and perform operational tasks, such as hardware and software upgrades, enhancements and configuration changes of the network security infrastructure in cooperation with the seniors and the architects
- Provide first line support for the troubleshooting of operational problems of the network security infrastructure, and escalate to vendors if needed
- Support the monitoring of the network security infrastructure and propose adequate measure to improve the security controls
- Support the development and promotion of information security processes and procedures and monitor compliance to the information security policy framework
- Plan, implement, operate and document network security controls in accordance with network security concepts, including multi-vendor firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, web proxies, email security gateways, web application firewalls, network access control, etc.
- Perform information security audits and vulnerability assessments and support the management of vulnerabilities
- Provide clear, concise, timely and constructive recommendations regarding information security in all areas related to network security
- Provide on-call support as required
YOUR PROFILE
- Must have
- Degree in Cyber Security, Information Security/Assurance/Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering as well as minimum 2 years experience on two or more of the following:
- Understanding of network communication concepts and principles, including routing and switching, network protocols/technologies such as: IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP, HTTP(S), SSL, IPsec, 802.1x, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, Spanning-Tree and the ability to perform troubleshooting of networks and associated devices
- Understanding of network security architectures and of efficient and effective network security concepts
- Understanding of cloud services (e.g. Azure and Entra ID) and how to secure them (e.g. Zero-Trust Principles)
- Ability to work on-call
- Nationality of a European Union/NATO member state; willingness to undergo a NATO/EU secret clearance process

- Hands-on knowledge of network security controls, including (next generation) firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, web proxies, email security gateways, web application firewalls, network access control, etc.
