VIE - Junior, HR Generalist

ROLE DESCRIPTION

One-year contract, starting in summer 2023. 

At SES, the People Solutions team provides customer-like experience to our employees on HR services, re-quests, and inquires. The team plays a key role in the delivery of HR services to our internal customers.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, customer-oriented, HR young professional with a positive attitude and keen eye for details, to join a hi-tech, global company and develop a career in the field of Human Resources. 

 

In this context, you will be in charge of (non-exhaustive list): 

  • Be the first point of contact for employees on HR matters and seek rapid resolution of queries, while ensuring great customer satisfaction:
    • First point of contact on HR related matters, ranging from transactional queries to ques-tions regarding HR systems, tools, and policies 
    • Seek rapid and efficient resolution to queries, requests and 'How To' questions and promptly resolving queries upon first call/contact, providing the best class support to employees at different levels in the organization
    • Perform troubleshooting on a variety of issues that may extend beyond the reach of the People Solutions team
    • Coordinate the Onboarding processes, including creation of employee files, preparation and execution of onboarding days, and upkeeping of the Onboarding App. 
  • Maintain an up to date understanding and awareness of specific HR processes and procedures 
  • Be involved in activities such as: 
    • Centralization of HR policies and procedures
    • Keeping templates up to date
    • Providing suggestions for HR services simplification, digitalization, and automation
  • Assist with other duties and tasks as needed including backup for Payroll and HRIS topics such as:
    • HRIS: 
      • Maintaining organizational structure in SAP
      • Creation of External Workforce in SAP
    • Payroll: 
      • Supporting employees with Time Management requests
      • Coordinating Sick Leave

 

YOUR PROFILE

1. You must have 

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in business, Human Resources, or related field;
  • Eligible for a VIE;
  • English is required for business needs;
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office;
  • Great organizational skills and a strong commitment to high quality;
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.

 

2. It would be nice if you had

  • 1-year previous experience in HR is desirable;
  • Foundational knowledge of HR, including compliance requirements and benefits;
  • Some understanding of Labor law regulations in the region is an asset; 
  • Previous work experience in Customer Services, Shared Service Centre or Business Process Outsourcing is advantageous;
  • Additional languages are an asset.
