Senior Manager, HR Integration
ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Following SES’s acquisition of Intelsat in July 2025, this role will help bring together two HR organizations into a single, high-performing function. The HR Integration Senior Manager will coordinate cross-functional HR integration plans and dependencies, align policies, processes, and systems, and ensure consistency with wider synergy and social dialogue programs.
Beyond the initial integration, the role will play a key part in driving the ongoing HR transformation - evolving the operating model, strengthening collaboration, and building the agility needed to support future business growth. Success requires a strategic thinker with strong program leadership, stakeholder management, and change delivery skills, capable of balancing short-term execution with long-term sustainability.
PRIMARY ReSPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
Integration Strategy & Program Leadership
- Develop and execute the HR integration strategy, creating detailed roadmaps with measurable milestones across org design, systems/process harmonization, policy alignment, and workforce planning.
- Provide program leadership for all HR integration workstreams, ensuring structure, accountability, risk management, and alignment with the corporate PMO.
- Maintain transparent, regular communication with senior leadership, providing updates on progress, risks, and issues.
Systems, Processes & Policy Harmonization
- In partnership with Director of HR Digital Solutions and HR Centers of Excellence (CoE), assess and evaluate inherited HR systems, tools, and processes; identify overlaps, gaps, and opportunities to create scalable, fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Lead policy harmonization in collaboration with HR CoE’s, ensuring updated and consolidated policies are designed, approved, and rolled out effectively.
- Drive simplification and adoption of best-in-class solutions, avoiding legacy duplication and enabling a modern HR ecosystem.
Org Design & Workforce Synergies
- Facilitate the design of the future-state HR organization, aligning roles, accountabilities, and headcount requirements to achieve cost and capability synergies.
- Track and coordinate workforce decisions, including role mapping, redundancies, and appointments, ensuring transparent processes and timely execution.
- Partner with Employee Relations to manage social dialogue with unions and works councils, ensuring compliance and smooth transitions.
Change Management
- Drive structured change management implementation, including leadership alignment, communications, and learning initiatives to support adoption and sustainability of integration outcomes.
Governance, Metrics & Continuous Improvement
- Establish governance processes, reporting mechanisms, and escalation paths to keep integration workstreams aligned and accountable.
- Define and monitor key metrics (e.g., integration milestones, retention, engagement) to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Capture lessons learned and build integration playbooks to strengthen readiness for future organizational change.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with departments like IMO and Finance, HRBPs and COEs
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience leading large-scale HR integration programs, ideally in post-merger contexts.
- Strong program and project management expertise, with ability to coordinate complex, multi-workstream initiatives.
- Knowledge of HR systems, processes, and policy integration; prior HR functional experience beneficial but not mandatory.
- Expertise in organizational design, workforce planning, and culture integration.
- Exceptional change management and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience driving communication, learning, and leadership alignment at scale.
- Strong capability in managing union and works council engagement during organizational change.
- Data-driven, with experience designing and monitoring integration dashboards.
- Executive presence, resilience, and ability to manage ambiguity while delivering results under pressure.

The salary range for this full-time position starts at $150,000.00 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target salary for new hires in McLean, Virginia. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
