ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The position is responsible for providing the analytical framework for business decisions at SES Techcom Services and for owning the planning & forecasting processes, providing deep dive analysis into revenue, cost, CapEx and cash flow variances as well as providing profitability analysis on product and customer level and building costing and pricing frameworks for Sales.

The incumbent is a financial & business analyst capable to guide business decisions enabling profitable growth.

In addition, the incumbent plays a key role to support the analysis and reporting packages to SES Techcom Leadership Team and SES Techcom Board of Directors.

 

Extended Job Description: 

.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Manage detailed planning process for budget, business plan and quarterly forecasts from data collection to presentation to SES Techcom Board. Aggregate and consolidate actuals, backlog, leads and related COS as well as other OpEx and CapEx in close collaboration with Sales & Business Development and Technology departments.
  • Analyse, challenge and organise pre-submission reviews with Techcom Management Team
  • Drive & coordinate reporting package for SES Techcom Board, including variance analysis to budget/FC, KPI reports, other department inputs
  • Own the operational KPI’s measurement, collection and reporting process
  • Enable commercial projects with in-depth analysis both pre-sales and post-sales, review ESA financial submissions & audits and public tender submissions; provide all required financial information to tender submissions
  • Ensure commercial support by reviewing cost data and analyse pricing decisions for individual projects & services
  • Develop & enhance costing and pricing tools & processes, control deal approval process correctly applied
  • Manage recurring pricing and profitability analysis & reporting by product, customer and project; build productivity reporting (timesheets) & resource planning capabilities to enhance planning processes
  • Support productization analysis & costing/pricing structure of future products/standard services
  • Provide business / investment case support to Sales & Business Development activities
  • Perform investigative analysis & projects on ad-hoc basis

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Chartered Accountant, Master’s Degree in Finance or equivalent
  • Minimum five years of work experience in an FP&A role
  • Proven experience of meeting tight deadlines
  • Track record in project management
  • Strong computer literacy and data management/data analysis, high proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint
  • Experience in developing and enhancing planning & reporting processes, investment case modelling
  • Fluency in English. German and/or French are considered as an asset
