ROLE DESCRIPTION
Join the Business Development team in a rapidly expanding company within the innovative department of a dynamic industry. This Luxembourg-based (Betzdorf) internship offers hands-on experience with satellite quantum key distribution technology. You will acquire essential skills in simulation, data analysis, and media creation, helping shape the future of satellite-secured Quantum safe networks.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
· Work together with the BD team to develop a tool to optimize future satellite QKD constellations based on various parameters such as the number of satellites, orbits, locations, weather, key rates, etc.
· Assist the BD team in customer interactions by simulating and visualising different customer sites, and calculate the potential average number of keys they might receive.
· Help the team gain new insights and define key performance indicators.
· Provide other ad-hoc support for various internal stakeholders
YOUR PROFILE
1.You must have
· Active student pursuing a degree in STEM fields, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline;
· Significant interest and experience in scripting/programming with Python.
· Computer literacy (MS PowerPoint, Excel, Access);
· Fluency in spoken and written English;
· Able to work in Luxembourg (EU-citizenship or valid work permit for Luxembourg).
2. It would be nice if you had
· Knowledge of Systems Tool Kit (STK) or other similar software considered a plus
· Strong interest in the global technology, satellite systems, cybersecurity and cryptography in particular
· Additional languages considered an asset
