Sales Manager/Senior Sales Specialist

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The main task of the incumbent is to meet challenging sales targets and generate new service revenues in the coming from sports federations, sport properties, production companies and key broadcasters.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREA
- Introduce SES Sports & Events to potential new clients and maintain solid relationships to current clients
- Detect new customers, leads and markets globally and identify potential decision makers within the client organization and build relationships
- Generate and qualify leads, develop solutions, prepare proposals and make presentations to possible customers in the sports industry
- Negotiate sales with relevant stakeholders in customers’ organization
- Participate in preparing compelling offers and proposals, including promoting SES’s value proposition, articulating services’ key advantages and pricing the solutions with support of the internal stakeholders
- Engage with sectors and customers to anticipate potential business opportunities and implement actions that will position the organization with differentiated advantage
- Represent, from time-to-time, SES in external associations, panels and events and support the company’s objective to enhance S&E brand awareness
- Be able to both take the lead on client relationships, but equally introduce to regional teams or other SES departments and ensure a robust client relationships management strategy/delivery.
COMPETENCIES
- Strong interpersonal, selling and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively make commercial offers, negotiate price variations and drive the sales process by personal engagement in key deals
- Very good presentation and communication skills as well as time management/priority setting ability
- A high level of personal integrity and adhere to a strict code of conduct and personal behavior. Good commercial judgment and the ability to operate within a sometimes high pressure environment or under short timeframes
- Ability to form and maintain strong internal networks, and creating a collaborative environment for enhancing sales growth globally
- Ability to understand sufficient technical knowledge to effectively market the Company’s products to the largely technical customer base.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor or Masters degree in Business, Commerce or any other relevant area
- Five-Ten years’ experience in the sports industry, preferably with a service provider with knowledge and proven track record of selling/supporting technical solutions for sports transmission
- Sound product knowledge, excellent networks and a proven commercial track record within the market place
- A deep knowledge and understanding of the market and developments in the customer base. Specific trends or shifts in the market need to be monitored, tracked, analyzed and reported to management or other parts of the organization
- English mandatory, other languages a benefit
- Willingness to travel (up to 40% of the time).
