Office 365 Engineer, Digital Workplace

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The position is directly responsible for the management, operations and development of applications and IT infrastructure solutions within SES (the group) and affiliated companies, as well as for IT project support within the organization and customer related projects with a focus on applications dedicated to the Digital Workplace. The incumbent will execute projects, support and maintenance within the Digital Workplace delivery field by ensuring timely task and project implementation. This role will also be responsible for operationalization and ongoing support of Microsoft suite of applications, including product lifecycle management, monitoring and issue resolution.

 

Extended Job Description:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULTS AREAS

  • Development of new tools and processes to assist with automation, reporting and management of the services
  • Act as Second and Third level of escalation for Incidents
  • On Call/Primary Contact availability
  • Take ownership of resolving assigned tasks and problems
  • Build internal support documents to capture steps used for issue identification, resolution and support reference
  • Identify incident trends and drive to remediate larger and/or reoccurring issues
  • Perform technical research leading to solutions for system and software limitations
  • Coordinate troubleshooting regarding Microsoft Office 365, Intune, Power Platform and other Digital Workplace applications with other IT departments and/or Software Manufacturers and recommend ap-propriate solution
  • Create accurate, detailed technical procedures and installation instructions.
  • Install, configure, test and support application software, cloud environments and system management tools
  • Define and implement work packages to support and maintain the Business Applications system architecture (hardware installation, networks, software deployment, client rollout, …)
  • Install, maintain, monitor and document operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Implement continuous improvement and automation enablement of the IT on-premises and off-premises environments
  • Issue prioritization and escalation
  • Multi-level communication skills – ability to speak to and troubleshoot with users of all levels
  • Take on responsibility for timely implementation for assigned projects and activities
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers, network, security and other appropriate stakeholders to implement potential fixes or improve features or performance
  • Interact positively with IT and business stakeholders
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Ensure that all systems selected or developed comply with prevailing IT Architectural Standards including but not limited to security standards and Information Security policies
  • Evaluate application opportunities and threats by new trends and developments in and outside of SES
  • Stay up to date with state-of-the-art concepts and technologies, and use this knowledge to analyse and maintain systems

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology
  • Minimum three to five years of applicable professional experience
  • Sound technical understanding of the IT landscape and related technical skills as well as its business applications

  • General Windows landscape: MS Windows Servers, MS SQL, MS IIS
  • MS PowerShell & GraphAPI
  • Backup/Restore
  • Fluency in English, any other language is considered as an asset
