Junior Accountant, Accounts Payable

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The incumbent is hired from 1 March 2022 to 28 February 2023 to cover the maternity and parental leave of an employee in the Accounts Payable team.

S/he is responsible for accurate support and execution of accounts payable operations for SES group companies.

S/he acts within the procedures and schedules approved by the Management and supports the timely closing of the accounting ledgers.

 

Extended Job Description:

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Process incoming invoices in a timely and accurate fashion through the scanning/OCR process and the SAP Vendor Information Management system
  • Follow up on supplier statements and reminder letters
  • Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable items or prices
  • Assist with vendor/employee inquiries
  • Timely and accurate reporting, meeting company and legal deadlines

 

COMPETENCIES

  • Comfortable in a team atmosphere workspace yet also capable of working independently under time constraints with minimal supervision
  • Able to meet company and legal deadlines
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Computer literacy including an ERP system (SAP preferred)
  • Ability to work in a well-organised and reliable manner

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • College degree or equivalent (ideally with focus on Accounting/Finance)
  • At least two years post qualification experience in a commercial environment
  • Knowledge of accounts payable processes
  • Proficient in data entry and management
  • Good PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

 

OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS

Written and spoken fluency in English is required. French and/or German is an asset
